Norma's Interests
As the full-time farm manager, most of my time is taken up by maintaining the goat herd, the Fjord horses, sugaring, producing and picking blueberries, and keeping up the grounds of the farmhouse and the five vacation rental houses.
Our History and Philosophy
Like many people in our age group, Norma and I were brought up in a time of seemingly unlimited resources and opportunity, dramatic increases in our standard of living and incredible advances in the fields of science and technology.
BHF Gita: Norwegian Fjord Horse Mare For Sale
BHF Gita is a 17 year old 14 hand Norwegian fjord mare with terrific breeding. Gita is trained to ride and drive however she has been used as a broodmare for most of her life. Gita has produced some of our nicest young stock. She is very well put together with a beautiful head. Gita will make a great addition to anyone's breeding program. Gita would also be a great trail horse.

Sugaring came early in 2010, matching a trend that we have noticed for many years of earlier and earlier sap flow. We were tapped early (by Feb 22), and were able to collect sap from those early runs. It’s fortunate that we did, because the season sort of petered out as we got further and further into March, the normal peak sugaring time. In spite of the odd season, syrup quality was good and we ended up with a decent year.
